About the Ovenbird

The Ovenbird is a ground-dwelling warbler of mature forests, recognized by its bold white eye ring, streaked chest, and olive-brown back. Often seen walking along the forest floor rather than flitting through treetops, it moves with steady, deliberate steps. Its loud, ringing song carries through the woods in spring and early summer.
